Years have past, and Mulder & Scully have gone their seperate ways. Then they are called back when a priest who claims to receive visions has information about a kidnapped agent.
This is really just a longer version of the TV series. But as a fan, this was fine by me. I liked that the characters had developed and moved on. But couldn't get used to seeing Billy Connolly as a priest. If you are a fan of the TV series, you'll enjoy this. Just don't expect any big revelations.

Why now? Why bother if this is it?

Okay, this would have worked well as a two hour special of some Tv series with a vague supernatural element, but as a a return to one of the best series of the early nineties? No way.
Billy Connolly is good as a paedophile priest with a knack for seeing visions, but overall this is an underachieving film, with virtually no plot links to the origianl series itself ( okay if you're coming to it completely new, but who is?). More like Z files. Sorry.

Well what can you say.... many moons ago I was a fan but having watched this I have to say it left me feeling a little bored.
Billy connolly Plays an A1 role as the sick priest come good but jillian andersons facial expressions just irritate me beyond redeeming this movie. Dull but if ur a huge fan I suppose its worth a watch

Surprisingly good

I used to hate the X files series and had put this dvd on my low importance list so i was very surprised to find out it was quite good actually. Not the usual alien nonsense that used to be on this show, just some good old fashioned FBI chasing down crazy people stuff!! Not bad at all.

I was a big fan of x-files. But this movie is pointless. It could easily be mistaken for a very average crime thriller. It provides no new material for x-files fans and wouldn't keep the attention of non-followers. I really don't know why this film was made...
