down the road just ok

It drags on a bit and by the end you just want it to finnish, i wish someone had left a review for me to say that it wasn't great. Very few laughs and was all a bit slow

the weather man
Ingrid from Dublin, 03 May 2007
This movie isnt for everyone but I loved it. Its thoughtful, original and uncomfortably funny. I'm not a big Nicholas Cage fan but I really liked him in this.

Waste of my time
Thomas from Cork, 22 Apr 2007
This was an absolute waste of my time. I really hope no-one rents this movie, it's just really, really, really bad. You will never get these 2 hours back.

Slow moving depressing but enjoyable.
Alan from Donegal, 10 Jul 2007
This was a very depressing movie but I found it very funny. There is a bit of the 'I thought my life was bad but this poor ******* is so unlucky!' about it. Nicholas Cage is great as 'the weather man' who h is a complete disaster in every aspect of his life but manages to be a really successful weather man earning a very high salary for what he does. There is a ridicilous element to the story line which is very captivating. Good movie but to be taken as a slow moving piece of work.

Not that bad.
Ciaran from Dublin, 11 May 2007
For me this was a drama/dark comedy just slightly above average. I like Cage so enjoyed it well enough. He's a real dead-beat though!

Brilliant
Karen from Dublin, 06 Oct 2007
This is one of the best films I've seen for ages. I didn't know anything about it before renting so had no expectations. It's quite dark and uncomfortable watching at times but also very funny and original. It's not a slapstick or romantic comedy so is not for everyone but I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Nicolas Cage is perfect for the role and plays it flawessly.

not your typical comedy...
priscilla from Dublin, 24 Jul 2007
In fact, I'm not even sure why it's classed under "comedy". But I loved it.
Great flick, dark, interesting, quirky. Well written script. If you're looking for a laugh-a-minute type of comedy, stick with Jim Carey.
