Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck) is an unrepentant criminal, the de facto leader of a group of ruthless bank robbers who pride themselves in stealing what they want and getting out clean. With no real attachments, Doug never has to fear losing anyone close to him. But that all changed on the gang‘s latest job, when they briefly took a bank manager (Rebecca Hall) hostage. Though they let her go unharmed, she is nervously aware that the robbers know her name…and where she lives. But she let‘s her guard down when she meets an unassuming and charming man called Doug…not realising that he is the same man who only days earlier had terrorised her. The instant attraction between them gradually turns into a passionate romance that threatens to take them both down a dangerous path.

Emma from Dublin, 16 Apr 2011
Firstly...for the ladies...ben affleck is a RIDE and the boston accent helps amazingly to making him accessible for us average girls....secondly...the story is FANtastic...equalling a high HIGH impact hot ride for the girls. Ten ten i say.

45 out of 100 Great
Audrey from Dublin, 27 May 2011
Ben Affleck does brilliantly in this film on both sides of the camera. The best hiest film in a long time. Great storyline and very believable. A great movie night in. Bring on the popcorn!

40 out of 100 Unusual, interesting movie
Rachel from Dublin, 21 Sep 2011
I had heard nothing about this movie so had no expectations. In a nutshell thief/criminal tries to get out of the criminal cycle he has got himself into, boy meets girl, and of course its not so easy to get away from it. Things turn violent, boy lies to girl, girl dumps boy and the cycle continues. Quite a gritty movie but good performance from Affleck. Worth checking out.

40 out of 100 Nice Surprise - great movie.
Damian from Dublin, 12 Jul 2011
Did not know what to expect from this one. Thought it was well done, good story. Sad to see poor oul Pete Postlethwaite looking so bad (he passed not long after this movie), his N Irish accent wasn't great either, must have forgotten what he learned on 'In the name of the Father'.

40 out of 100 Pleasently surprised - good movie
Lavinia from Galway, 24 May 2011
I have to say that I expected a predictable movie and ended up being pleasantly surprised. It is a bit predictable alright but it definitely catches you in the action and makes you want to wait to see what happens next. I would recommended to a friend :).

40 out of 100 Top notch bank job
Conor from Louth, 16 May 2011
Definitely as good as the likes of 'Inside Man' or 'Dog Day Afternoon', even if there are a few stereotype cliches thrown in. Affleck has talent, particularly behind the camera.

30 out of 100 Ok
Joan from Kerry, 30 Sep 2011
It was just barely watchable. Had there been anything else on I would prob have switched over. It would do if there was nothing else on.
