Depp looks bored and non-committal with his role

This ugly little piece of slam dunk marketing featuring present day reigning sex symbols Angelina Jolie and Johnnny Depp in a tepid suspensor revolving around missing cash is a clunker from the get go. It's all face time for the hotties which I surmise are supposed to turn up the heat based on their good looks alone since the vapid plot and predictable pursuers lack even a scintilla of originality or suspense. It is a cynical cash grab by all involved. As Fats Waller would say "all that meat and no potatoes."
Woman of mystery Elise Ward (Jolie) boards a train bound for Venice where she enlists Frank Tupelo (Depp) as a useful idiot to help her elude the law and the mob to rendezvous with an accomplice who has made off with an obscene amount of money. The chase is on but the pace along with just about everything else is off.

Avoid at all costs

This is such a horrible waste of a "film" There is nothing redeeming about this at all. I resent the time I wasted. This was written by the guy who wrote the usual suspects which makes it even worse. This is an un film
Do yourself a favour and watch "Charade" instead

Painful to watch

Completely waste of time. I cant believe that the director of the excellent "The lives of others" directed this boring and tasteless film. The talent of Depp is wasted and he looks as he smoked a joint before every scene. Jolie spent the whole movie modelling with beautiful dresses and too much make-up. Very little chemistry between them. They surely made the movie to spend a few months in Venice that it is the only thing outstanding in the movie with its marvellous sites. Boring and unimaginative script, a parody of Bond's movies. I did not predict the final twist though. I would not recommended at all.

Lacked atmosphere and action

I found this movie with Angelina Jolie very wooden indeed, she showed little or no emotion throughout and I was waiting for her to start acting. Was supposed to be an action packed movie but really I was bored really from the start. I mean who wears a cape and 6" heels when you are being chased by the enemy and still looked perfect. My husband fell asleep but I did watch it to the end, even still she was not looking very happy when she found her man!!

Poor acting, poor plot!

It was so bad I lost interest after 20 minutes. Johnny Depp was having an off-week when he recorded this. The dialogue is awful, the acting poor, the plot is rendered uninteresting.
I thought Ricky Gervais was being unkind when he panned this movie at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards, but he was just being accurate!

What a waste of 90 mins. Depp and Jolie booms the headline, I am amazed that they put their time/names to this crap. I don't know what the story is with Depp, you just can't take him seriously here, he is taking the you know what with his 'performance' in this. Nice english accent on Jolie though.
