Here's a documentary that needs absolutely no introduction. Why is America so fat? This is the question that Morgan Spurlock wanted to answer. He set out to interview experts in 20 US cities including Houston, the fattest city in America, whilst at the same time conducting his own personal experiment: eat nothing but McDonalds for 30 days straight.

25 out of 100 Healthy eating dont's for the clinically braindead
Andrew from Dublin, 25 Sep 2007
Ok for someone who is looking for an in-depth, hard-hitting documentary with some eye opening facts this is hardly the film to watch. It is largely an attack on the evil Ronald McDonald but believe it or not living on a diet solely made up of food from any fast food outlet or just junk food in general is not going to prolong your life expectancy …who knew!!! On the otherhand if you just want a fairly entertaining viewing this is worth a watch even just to see how spupid people really are.

35 out of 100 Preaching to the choir
Ciaran from Dublin, 23 May 2007
OK, so who doesn't know that living on a diet of fast food is bad for you? Maybe some people don't realise this but they sure aren't the type to rent out documentaries! Anyway, what we have here is watchable stuff and will appeal to anyone with an interest in the topic.

40 out of 100 Documentary not a movie
Kareena from Dublin, 12 Apr 2008
Still very watchable and interesting, if not totally unexpected results of someone eating MacDonalds for 30 days. Didn't put me off junk food as mich as I'd expected (Fast Food Nation, did more so) however well worth renting.

Laura from Dublin, 27 Jun 2008
Still an enjoyable and interesting watch, however.

45 out of 100 A must watch
Eugene from Kerry, 04 Aug 2010
All people who eat at fast food joints should watch this movie. It seems that there are chapters of facts about the terrible effects of fast food that are written and very rarely read out lond. This movie reads them word for word. You just can't possibly look at fast food the same after wathing this movie. Watch it, talk about it and tell your friends and families to watch it. I highly recommend it.

30 out of 100 Super Size Me " No Thanks "
Seamus from Limerick, 10 Dec 2008
Worth a watch for sheer entertainment value. I can't imagine living on Mcd's for 30 days, 3 meals a day, and having to Super size the meals when offered. Crazy stunt to prove the obvious point that too much fast food is bad for you.

40 out of 100 Yummy
Pia from Cork, 11 May 2010
A tiny bit boring but at the same time fascinating insight into junk food world. Watch this if you're a big fan of fast food and you'll think twice the next time you feel like McDonalds :)
