View 'Ratatouille' Trailer

In Pixar's new animated-adventure, Ratatouille, a rat named Remy dreams of becoming a great French chef despite his family's wishes and the obvious problem of being a rat in a decidedly rodent-phobic profession. When fate places Remy in the sewers of Paris, he finds himself ideally situated beneath a restaurant made famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau. Despite the apparent dangers of being an unlikely - and certainly unwanted - visitor in the kitchen of a fine French restaurant, Remy's passion for cooking soon sets into motion a hilarious and exciting rat race that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down. Remy finds himself torn between his calling and passion in life or returning forever to his previous existence as a rat. He learns the truth about friendship, family and having no choice but to be who he really is, a rat who wants to be a chef.

40 out of 100 Ratatouille
Martin from Kerry, 20 Feb 2008
I have always thought Pixar are great and they still are. I took the kids to see this, they enjoyed it and I got a great kick out of it. Whatever about the animation and the technology, the characters are really good, the story is good and it is frequently hilarious. This is enough for any film.

35 out of 100 Good, but could do better.
John from Donegal, 22 Feb 2008
After a slow start, it picked up well. It was hard to sympathise with any of the characters but all in all it is very entertaining. I think after films like Shrek, its very hard for animated films to keep up. So I would recommend this film, but don't have too many expectations.

35 out of 100 good but somewhat samey
John from Dublin, 24 Apr 2008
Although somewhat formulaic computer animation, this was pretty good to watch. The characters were likeable, the story was quite amusing and the animation was great. Aiming for the intentially stylised/caricaturised instead of the ultra-realistic seems to pay off a lot better.

45 out of 100 rats run the best kitchen whod have thought it
Justine from Meath, 26 Jul 2008
Good fun , I did enjoy this sweet story of a rat that just wants to do something with his life ( I know how he feels) and becomes the best human chef trainer in Paris. I should be too old for all these kids films but what the hell, I loved it.

25 out of 100 Great Animation but not a lot of laughs
Fergal from Dublin, 03 Jun 2008
Too much time spent on the viusakls and not a lot of time on the script which has very little humour. Not sure if even the kids would stay tuned. Great to look at, especially on a flat screen - colourd and huge, but not a whole lot more.
