Gowan, you'll love it!

A fresh and invigorating road movie. It's original and full of interesting characters and it all turns out, well....very bizarre! Highly recommended.

I laughed so much
Thomas from Dublin, 22 May 2007
I didn't think I would laugh at what I was laughing at!
Perhaps I shouldn't have!
It was black and dark on the surface, but essentially was about a family coming together for the sake of the youngest member.
You ended up laughing out loud at a corpse being stolen from a hospital, the same corpse being hidden from a highway patrolman with an apeitite for dirty mags,an old man using the most profane language and encouraging both the use of heroin and underage sex..and loads more. Don't miss this

A little dissappointing
David from Dublin, 25 Apr 2007
I really expected a bit more from this one. The indo-hype was impressive but the final delivery wasn't great in my view. It was enjoyable but could have been a great piece of film.

Really enjoyable, quirky, funny film. Well worth renting out and watching more than once.

I did enjoy this and it does have some very funny moments and some black humour indeed.

Little Miss Sunshine
Shane from Wicklow, 09 Jun 2008
A totally hilarious and entertaining movie. Great drama comedy telling the story of a totally messed up family's attempt to get their daughter to a beauty pageant cross country in a 70s VW bus and the disasters that unfold along the way. Sounds terrible, but surprisingly enough it's the complete opposite - it's hilarious, touching and endearing. Great acting. Nominated for Best Picture & won 2 Acadamy awards. Highly recommended. Not for children!

Dark themes covered in entertaining comedy
Ruth from Dublin, 05 Jun 2007
If you heard that a movie concerned a drug-addicted grandparent, almost-bankrupt father, suicidal uncle and troubled teen, not to mention children's beauty pageants, you'd probably run for cover - but don't!!! It took a while to get into this, but once we did, we thoroughly enjoyed it. This is a highly entertaining movie which will leave you with something to think about after the credits roll.

Wonderful film
Hazel from Dublin, 14 Nov 2007
This is an "indie' gem. Olive has made the final of Little Miss Sunshine beauty pagent in California so the entire, and apparently, dysfunctional family embark on a road trip to reach the contest.
With plenty of incident along the way, the trip proves eventful to say the least, culminating in the final showstopping performance by Olive in the pagent.
Absolutely brilliant!

Little Miss - Big Hit!
Andy from Westmeath, 01 Jun 2007
An amazing film. It's warm, witty and wonderful. Story centres on 7yr old Olivia who is entered into a beauty pageant and her marvellously dysfunctional family. There's a gay suicidal Uncle, financially pressed bickering parents, drug addict Grandfather and a brother who is deliberately mute! I thought this was brilliant, funny and warm without being sentimental. You gotta see it!
