The Valley Of Peace and it's inhabitants are under threat from a malevolent snow leopard, Tai Lung. With everyone fearing for their very existences, the role of protector falls into the lap of the lazy, irreverent Po, (voiced by Jack Black) a panda more used to slacking off than facing great challeneges. But it is Po who must master the ways of Kung Fu and ultimately face a showdown with the colossus that is Tai Lung...

40 out of 100 Awesome, Atractive & Bodacious!
James from Limerick, 25 Nov 2008
Jack Black plays Po Panda, a dreamer working in his father's noodle restaurant, obsessed by martial arts. He is forced to find hidden strengths to combat his predesessor at Kung Fu Kamp. CGI family adventure, with a not so original plot, but beautifully realised Chinese vistas and stunning fight scenes. Some genuinly funny moments as well. Best bits? Opening Manga-style setup, and the prison-break set piece.

35 out of 100 Kung Fu Panda.
Derek from Dublin, 02 Feb 2009
Very enjoyable. Had a few good laughs in it. DVD Extra's were actually pretty good. Film - it's no Madagascar - but certaily would not knock it either. Don't think Black was strong enough to be the lead - but his performance was acceptable enough. Certaily worth a watch.

Big hit with my 4 year old. She watched it 3 times over the weekend! I missed alot of it but what I saw looked good (not Shrek good though) My husband watched it 2 of he 3 times with her so I guess it is a hit with both adults and kids.

30 out of 100 funny
Colette from Kilkenny, 07 Dec 2008
I thought this film was pretty funny in places, jack black does the best voice over on the panda. There is quite alot of kung fu fighting sequences which i got a little bored with, but then it is a kung fu film so fair enough

Joanne from Cork, 09 Jun 2009
Hilarious movie, I had tears streaming down my face from laughing. 9 / 10 for me, I would give it 10 but Jolie's character annoyed me Jack Black is a legend
