generous slice of the silly pie

I'd recommend this to anyone who's fed up of being spoon fed the plot and walked through the story. You're told NOTHING you have to watch and figure it out as it goes along. There's a lad who discovers he can teleport himself anywhere, as long as he has a clean line of sight, or is familiar with the area he's jumping to, he meets another Jumper, then discovers they are being pursued with Biblical wrath by Paladins ...
Looking forward to the next film

Disappointing.

What seemed like a good idea for a film turned out to be more of a let down. There was no back story at all to explain where "jumpers" and "paladins" came from or why one was trying to do away with the other (apart from a one line mention between the two lead jumpers). Hayden puts in his usual wooden performance and Diane Lane's is more like a cameo. If this is meant as the start of a series, I don't think it's going to last past this one !!

Jumper

Rubbish. Extremely unlikeable lead character and Sammy L going through the motions. Hayden Christensen is even less likeable than he was when he was Darth Vader. Hes just so smug and arrogant and you just want him to get caught but he doesn't. The end leaves the way open for a sequel which will be good if he gets killed in it. There were some nice special effects but there are good special effects in some TV adverts.

Good but short of being Great

Its definitely worth a look as Sammy Jackson is normally a barometer for good movies and this is certainly true in this case, although I think he is outshone by the two other male leads. Its a good concept for a film and there are some great chases as they jump from location to location.

disappointing

Great effects and an interesting concept can't fully make up for the film's defects - a poorly worked out storyline and Hayden Christensen. He really is the wrong choice for the lead role here. All other performances are good, he's the only one letting this film down.
However, even though this will leave you slightly unsatisfied at the end of it, this is still not a bad film. Just lacking that certain something a good film needs.

Interesting!

Interesting idea of the plot. Maybe it's just me but David and Millie characters were not believable , Griffin was on the other hand. Felt like Hayden and Rachel weren't there while filming. Samuel L Jackson was great, but still i have no idea why exactly paladins were after jumpers, is it just a cult thing or some old history feud. | guess the answer in the next movie.
