Firstly, this is not a James Bond Movie. The character of Agent 007 was always charming, spirited, witty, smart and his hair was dry even right after stepping out from the sea. The previous actors had stlye. In contrast, Mr. Lockjaw (David "boring" Craig) has not even sense of acting. Secondly, the story is rubbish. Do they want to eliminate an environmentalist? I will not know the answer, because turned it off after an hour, as all real James Bond fans do it.

20 out of 100 boom bang boom boom bang
Joanne from Louth, 14 May 2009
Had one of the many (sometimes difficult to follow) action sequences been replaced by 10mins of character/plot development this would have been a decent film However, the story lurches from one action sequence to another so much that by the end you really can't remember what the film was about The best bits of a Bond film are when he's being effortlessley cool, not when he's blowing a hole in the ozone layer. Forgetable

Not a patch on the last one..... no Q.... No Gadgets nothing but boom boom bang bang and running after bad guys. a little bit of acting tied in with some character development is badly needed for the next one i think. all this from a 40 year James Bond fan!!!!!

0 out of 10 Sucktastic!
Christopher from Galway, 17 May 2009
I view Craig's Bond as just an action film rather than a grittier reimagined Bond. Even in this forgiving spirit, this film fails as a simple action flick. The direction is choppy, as if the glue which held the film together was left on the editing room floor. One second they're outside and *blink* they're sipping scotch on a plane?! The storytelling is abysmal. It's as though they could make the film intelligent by not explaining what's going on half the time. Then we can pat ourselves on

30 out of 100 Mean, Moody & fast.
John from Donegal, 17 Aug 2009
Bond is seeking revenge on the murderer of his 'Love' from the last film, Casino Royale'. This was billed as a proper sequel, but apart from the revenge theme, there wasn't anything to really link the two. Daniel Craig is very good as Bond, and Judi Dench makes a perfect M and acts everyone else off the screen. Very fast moving, lots of action sequences and Craig looking all mean & moody, but not the best Bond film. I would have liked a bit more walking, and not so much running. But maybe that's

i had been waiting in anticipation to see this Casino Royale sequel because the 1st one was so good.but alas i was let down.yes we get amazing special effects, fight scenes you will never forget....but the story seemed to ebb and flow like thirsty estuary...there was no meat to the plot nothing i could really get a hold of.....there's also the unfortunate omission of a certain intimate ritual scene....i mean come on its a bond movie!!

30 out of 100 Gritty action
Stephen from Dublin, 14 Jul 2009
Bond has certainly evolved from the 70's and 80's (which is a bit odd considering that the latest movies are supposed to be prequels) and for all the gritty action and angst of Bond I can't help but feel that they are trying to compete with the Bourne movies and so Bond has lost his identity a little bit. A very watchable movie, it slightly loses its way. I think I prefer the Bourne movies - at least he knows who he is (so to speak).
