40 out of 100 Is it OK if fiction is not believeable?
Tim from Cork, 22 Aug 2007
This is a really stunning film visually. Typically European in the way that each frame is purposefully and brilliantly composed. The story is intriguing, an analysis of luck and fate and there is really good human side to it in the background stories and relationships of the 4 main characters. The acting for the most part is great. The only issue I had with the film was that it was completely unbelievable...

It is a bit arty and trying its best to be some kind of pretentsion cult movie but I think it fails but it was enjoyable and killled some time.

10 out of 100 ,Muddled
Ciaran from Dublin, 22 Jul 2007
There's no doubting the style of this piece but the narrative is a mess and the screenplay a mystery. What is going on?!? I have to say I was lost for the most part but Max Von Sydow brough some class to the proceedings with his one elongated scene.

30 out of 100 Great idea - poor execution
Brock from Limerick, 26 Oct 2010
Was really sold on the idea of this, and I felt it had real scope to play with, but none of the characters are either that interesting or likeable. It plays like a dream in parts, almost like a David Lynch movie in parts but it failed to really take advantage of its decent idea. I was left dissapointed. Final stand off scene is about the highlight
