Acclaimed actors, Denzel Washington, Clive Owen and Jodie Foster, come together to explore the lure of power, the ugliness of greed and the mystery of a perfect robbery, in a combustible new crime drama from Spike Lee. The hardbitten, but unorthodox, Detective Fraiser (Washington) pits his wits against a high-class bank robber, Dalton Russell (Owen), following the robbery of a Manhattan bank. As the chase unfolds, political corruption and hidden agendas threaten to destabilise an already volatile situation.

Good film enjoyable psychological thriller. Good twists and turns. Washington and Owen were brillant. Would have liked to see Foster playing a bigger part in the film.

40 out of 100 Unexpected gem
Niamh from Dublin, 17 May 2007
Really enjoyed this, kept us guessing right to the end. Some great twists and turns and nice to see Foster in a slick role. Owen and Washington were a good pair of opposites, this delivered more than expected.

45 out of 100 Inside Man

Well directed, well acted. Most sophisticated film from Spike Lee to date. Captures NYCity's atmosphere. Very few cliches. Each scene tells more of the tale and moves the story along; almost no dead time. Recommended

35 out of 100 a unique heist movie
Stuart from Dublin, 15 Jun 2008
Inside man is a clever movie about 3 main parties, the bank raiders, the police and the bank officials and who they work with. You dont no why the bank is being raided or where these robbers came from hardly at all during the movie, but the end is tied up well. I thought it wasnt going to reveal the reasoing of the robbery becuase of the way the film keeps climaaxing at the end. I kept feling it would end with not enuogh answers, but it was worth seeing, acting is strong through out.

30 out of 100 Another Winner from Denzel
Martina from Galway, 08 Jun 2007
You know the way there are some actors and you can tell that any film they are in is going to be good? Well I definitely think that Denzel is one of those stable choices. Good film, not great but definitely worth a look. Films aren't made like this anymore, where you actually have to think when you're watching it. Jodie Foster is also very good in this film. Good to see her back.

Kevin and Angelique from Roscommon, 04 Mar 2008
INTENSE!!! MUST SEE. JODY FOSTER DOES A FANTASTIC JOB AS WELL AS DENZEL. YOU'LL BE KEPT ON THE EBGE OF YOUR SEAT AND WILL ENJOY THE MYSTERY THAT UNFOLDS AS THE REAL CRIMINAL S UNVEIL THEMSELVES. OH TO HAVE JODY'S CONFIDENCE.

40 out of 100 INSIDE MAN
greg from Waterford, 17 Nov 2007
found this a very enjoyable film and a long awaited departure from the action blockbusters denzel has been making of late. storyline is great and clive owen shines as the supercool bad guy. basically its the story of a bank heist gone sour and the ensuing stand-off between washington and owens' characters...........but is everything really what it seems !!

Cracking heist movie, that disguises it's motives for much of it's length. All players in great form, and incidental characters are convincing typical New Yorkers. Special mention to Clive Owen, rivaling Daniel Craig in the cool stakes. Best bit? THAT song over the closing credits.
