Written by Dennis Hopper, Peter Fonda and Terry Southern, Fonda produced the low-budget production whilst Hopper took on directing duties, receiving an award at Cannes for his first work. Since its release, Easy Rider has been regarded as a symbol of free-spirited reaction against society, and even for those too young to remember its original release, it maintains its status as a classic film which characterises the attitude of a decade.

This was a trip down memory lane for me.....we wll thought Peter Fonda was so cool and he said nothing of consequence........I enjoyed it simply because of the sound track and the memories of sneaking into the cinema with my older sister trying to look as if I belonged and understood....Captain America and life for living etc
My companion thought it was boring and gave up less than half way through not enought action for him....nothing happens.......Each to their own for me it was good to remember how young I was back then and innocent

Too generational maybe?

I watched this movie and I sorta found it okay, but no big deal.
It's one of those "character move around, slightly aimlessly, but the point is to experience what they experience along the way."
Some nice moments include one or two pensive or philosophical scenes and one really crazy LSD styled sequence.
Yeah, I've heard a lot about how this movie was a big deal, but I'm not seeing it.
One person said that a major thing about the movie at the time was the songs that were used in it,
