 Corpse Bride

Set in a 19th century European village, this stop-motion, animated feature follows the story of Victor (voiced by Johnny Depp), a young man who is whisked away to the underworld and wed to a mysterious Corpse Bride, while his real bride, Victoria, waits bereft in the land of the living. Though life in the Land of the Dead proves to be a lot more colourful than his strict Victorian upbringing, Victor learns that there is nothing in this world, or the next, that can keep him away from his one true love. It's a tale of optimism, romance and a very lively afterlife, told in classic Burton style.

50 out of 100 Corpse Bride

A romantic comedy with a dark edge, very entertaining. It looks marvellous, the contrast between the Victorian grey world and the colourful vibrance of the dead world is amazing. The soundtrack is simple but captivating, you'll keep rewinding to catch all the words!

20 out of 100 So-so

I was expecting more from this. I knew it was filmed in the same way as nightmare before Christmas, but its virtually identical. The songs aren't strong enough to hold it together and neither is the dialogue. Cleverly done, but seen it all before.

Yes I must agree I was disappointed with this film. It just didn't impress me and was way too long.
