35 out of 100 A typical film about the Troubles in the North
Maggie from Mayo, 05 Feb 2008
A well acted film against the background of the 1994 ceasefire. It portrays some of the problems facing the North of Ireland at that time, and does this well. however, it does not really tell us anything new about the situation. But I found the characters believable, and the story realistic. Overall, worth a look.

30 out of 100 Seen this all before?
Mark from Galway, 27 Aug 2008
Love story set in troubled times of Ireland. I found the depiction of life in Ireland interesting but the story of love just another 'two people in love' who can't be together story that we've seen so many times before. Not a big fan of Day-Lewis but he was ok.
