On 30th January 1972, British soldiers shot dead 13 unarmed civilians taking part in an anti-internment civil rights march in Derry, Northern Ireland. The event was a major turning point in the history of the modern Irish troubles, driving many young men into the IRA and fuelling a 25-year cycle of violence. This powerful, award-winning film tells the story of Bloody Sunday in just one day from dusk till dawn.

45 out of 100 An excellent portrayal of events of Bloody Sunday
Maggie from Mayo, 01 Dec 2008
An excellent portrayal of the events of Bloody Sunday, although it remains difficult to know where the truth really lies. Gritty realism in a docudrama style. Dialogue is hard to catch on occasions, but the message is still very clear. A moving drama showing the horrors of civil war and occupation.

Worth watching the awful results of a society divided by superstition and nationalisms... learning lessons perhaps, Very good but sad
