Beginning with a kinetic, bone-crushing car accident, Amores Perros imaginatively interweaves the stories of its three victims: Octavio a young man who has fallen in love with his violent brother's wife; Valeria, a beautiful Mexican model for whom physical appearance is everything; and El Chivo, a former political assassin now exiled from his family. The result is a moving, visceral eulogy to life, loss and dog fighting on Mexico's mean streets. Spanish dialogue.

50 out of 100 Love is a bitch
Christine from Kerry, 05 Oct 2011
Very very good and very real and intense. I saw it a few years ago on TV and just wanted to see it again! The film knows know make-up, no excuse, shows things hard, often brutal and goes directly into your heart. Nothing for sensitive watchers but someone who wants to see for once a very good, excellent and deep movie against the blockbusters where you turn them off and you do not even remember them - then thats it! It is absolutely worth watching it!

5 out of 100 Do not even consider this if you are a dog lover!
Marianne from Wexford, 23 Feb 2011
Features a seriously injured dog in the first scene.......when the second scene also included cruelty to dogs, I could not watch it. couldn't tell you what the film is like as the cruelty to dogs in the opening scenes is unwatchable.

40 out of 100 Very Good.
Alan from Dublin, 15 Oct 2009
Very good film. Got me engrossed from the start. I wouldn't be put off by other posters comments about dogs being savaged, hard on the eye etc...nothing major. Really enjoyed this film.
