Better Than I Thought

I was planning on renting a mindless horror film just to see how it looks on Blu-ray! There is an actual story to this! It's not Oscar worthy but interesting none-the-less!
There are some typical horror films characteristics here. Teenagers in a secluded area. One leaves at a time to a certain doom!
What makes Mandy Lane different is, for one, the twist towards the end! Like titular character, Amber Heard, explains in the special features interview, there are no big clues throughout the movi

another american horror for late teens but it does have a very interesting twist at end, worth renting, not all bad at least.

Teen Horror.

Typical teen horror, lots of blood & gore, but nothing to really care about. If you're a fan of the slasher genre, then you may like this. I found it hard to care about the characters and was cheering on the villian by half way through.

Disappointing
Pia from Cork, 11 May 2010
A bit boring, silly and slow paced horror with no sense to it. The ending has a surprising twist but unfortunately it's not enough to save the film. Wouldn't watch it again. Check Jennifer's Body instead!

Interesting twist... if you can wait long enough

Pros:
excellent ending
great soundtrack
beautifully filmed
transcends the 'slasher' genre in nearly every way
Cons:
3/4 of the movie succumbs to clichés
(mostly) one dimensional characters
