Tumble down the rabbit hole with Alice for a fantastical adventure from Walt Disney Pictures and Tim Burton. Inviting and magical, Alice In Wonderland is an imaginative new twist on one of the most beloved stories of all time. Alice (Mia Wasikowska), now 19 years old returns to the whimsical world she first entered as a child and embarks on a journey to discover her true destiny. This Wonderland is a world beyond your imagination and unlike anything you've seen before. The extraordinary characters you've loved come to life richer and more colourful than ever. There's a Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp), the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter), the White Rabbit (Michael Sheen) and more. A triumphant cinematic experience - Alice in Wonderland is an incredible feast for your eyes, ears and heart that will captivate audiences for all sizes.

25 out of 100 Dreadful
John from Dublin, 05 Apr 2011
Terrible script. Lewis Carroll's works are among the most imaginative written, and the way he plays with logic and words is very entertaining. None of this gets to the screen. Why do away with Humpty Dumpty? Some of the supporting cast acquit themselves well, particularly Stephen Fry as the voice of the Cheshire Cat. Some of Depp's scenes reminded me of Puss n' Boots from Shrek (cue big cute eyes). The film looks garish, and it's Oscar was for "most art direction" rather than "best". (Inception surely had the best design concepts that year?) Probably too scary (and too noisy) for young children.

25 out of 100 Typical Tim Burton
Timmy from Cork, 13 Jul 2010
It was cool, lots of bright colours and great characters. But for me the story wasn't all there. There are some good moments; the hare with any cup, the evil queen through the whole film. I really can't see any reason to watch it a second time though. I can only speak for myself here but I expected a lot more. Maybe it's meant to be seen in 3D! I didn't like it but the girlfriend loved it! All I can say is see for yourself. I, however, wouldn't recommend it!

45 out of 100 Typical Tim Burton
Mark from Galway, 20 Jan 2011
I love watching Tim Burton films, my humour coincides with his. I enjoy the way he tells a story and the quirky things he has in all his films. If you like his films too then i don't think you will be disappointed with this one, i wasn't. the usual cast of characters are assembled, he's taken libertys with the script to tell the story his way.

35 out of 100 Good but not brilliant
Patrick from Wicklow, 16 Feb 2011
Was really looking forward to this and I did enjoy it but it didn't really live up to my expectations. I suppose it was a missed opportunity to do that little bit more. What you have here is a big budget but quite shallow interpretation - disappointing.

This was a differnent but enjoyable interpretation of the Alice in wonderland story. Depp's version of the mad hater is great.
