A comedy set in the summer of 1987 and centered around a recent college grad (Eisenberg) who takes a nowhere job at his local amusement park, only to find it's the perfect course to get him prepared for the real world.

50 out of 100 Great, under-rated movie!
Michael from Cork, 30 Mar 2010
This under-rated movie was such an enjoyable watch! I really was not expecting to enjoy it so much! As it was the work of the director of "Superbad", I was expecting that similar humour with not as much plot development..but happily I was wrong! A really heart-warming, coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of the 80's. The soundtrack is superb and catches the mood of the charcters perfectly! Kristen Stewart is brilliant and brings her character to life. Eisenberg is surprisingly like

30 out of 100 So So Teen movie
Marilyn from Dublin, 07 Sep 2011
There is nothing really wrong with this movie but even as I write these words I struggle to remember anything much about it. It really doesn't linger long in the memory. The performances are fine, the characters are likeable if some of their scenarios a little too unbelievable but I was left wondering what exactly was the point of the whole exercise

25 out of 100 Luke warm
Ann from Dublin, 19 Mar 2010
I was expecting more from this movie. Its not a comedy and its not a teen angst movie but something in the middle and it doesnt quite hit the mark. I was hoping for, at the very least, a good soundtrack it being set in the 80s but even that was disappointing. The highlight is Martin Starr (Bill Haverchuck from Freeks and Geeks) as the nerdy friend.

5 out of 100 Poor direction and lacking any real emotion
Paul from Kildare, 01 Mar 2010
I thought I would like this because Jesse Eisenberg in Zombieland was such a good laugh but I was very much mistaken, God was I mistaken. The story lacks any direction and the characters all seem so sterile and cold. I turned it off half way through, I just couldn't get into it.

35 out of 100 Teenage Angst
Eamon from Meath, 01 Oct 2010
This is a better than average teen love story/ rom-com. Far superior than the disappointing Nick and Nora. Good performances all round.
