When two Eastern European criminals decide that the fastest route to fame and fortune in the U.S. is infamy, they embark on a vicious, headline-grabbing killing rampage. Hot on their trail are a veteran homicide detective (Robert DeNiro) and a young arson investigator (Edward Burns). Against a frenzied backdrop of tabloid TV and justice gone mad, they are drawn into the killers' explosive game of cat and mouse as the mean streets of New York erupt into a battlefield

Fast moving but last 30 mins are typical Hollywood stuff. Not recommended.

35 out of 100 Not bad
Mark from Dublin, 09 May 2007
This movie wasn't bad something you would watch on tv if there was nothing else on is Riobert de niro on the wane as he clearly is playing second fiddle to Burns here but enjoyable when all said and done. De Niro could make an advert a classic.

40 out of 100 Surprisingly Brilliant
Lucey from Cork, 20 Sep 2007
I was really surprised with this one, took me a while to watch it as the trailer was a bit gorey, but it was really, really good. An alternative slant on the Cops 'n' Robbers storyline, and a heck of a shock half way through, with an unpredictable ending. Not a chick flick, Great for the lads, and like minded females>>

15 out of 100 Waste of everyone's time
Brian from Dublin, 26 Jan 2008
Poor quality, didn't seem to know what to do with all the big names knocking around. DeNiro exits surprisingly early. Very uneven feel to the whole thing. Script was grimly predictable and the acting pretty 2-D.

0 out of 10 15 Minutes
Paul from Dublin, 03 Jul 2007
What a disppointment - a complete waste of having Robert De Niro in a film when the untalented, unknown villains feature more than one of the most gifted actors of his generation. This is an example of how not to make a cop movie. The only thing you end up caring about is what prompted de Niro to take on such a godawful role in such an appalling film. I did not watch the end I could not bear it anymore.

25 out of 100 so so
Mark from Galway, 25 Aug 2009
Couldn't even remember it until i read the synopsis and i only saw it a few months ago! Not memorable then... not dire but if you have something to do, then do it and give this a miss until you are at a loose end
